What leads you to get out of bed every morning? Is it your career, family, goals, latest news and social media posts, or the next episode of a Netflix series? Or better yet, are you seeking that next high or party life experience you’ve been chasing for years? What drives you each day, and where is your energy moving you towards today?
In today’s fast-paced world, we must take time once in a while to ask ourselves these questions and more to figure out where we’re headed. Many of us may not necessarily get the answers we hoped for or any answers at all, but no answer is also an answer. Therefore if that is the case, then we need to question our purpose in life and if we are living it out or at least making a way towards it.
For years and more now, we have heard about purpose more than ever. Self-made gurus all over social media are constantly talking and sharing about how purpose is the highest goal. According to many gurus, success in life is futile if not driven by purpose. However, does one need to acquire wealth to succeed and achieve their purpose? And what exactly does purpose look like?
Here is what google says about purpose, “So what does it mean to have a purpose? The dictionary tells us purpose is the reason something exists, an intended end; aim; or goal. Purpose creates meaning, offers a sense of direction, and helps guide our paths, behavior, and our goals when applied to our lives.”
The latter says quite a lot about the purpose that should motivate anyone struggling to answer the question of what leads them out of bed in the morning. When we read words like “reason something exist, an intended end; aim; or goal, creates meaning, sense of direction, and helps guide our path,” anyone reading these words is capable of coming up with a sort of blueprint for their life if for some reason they still don’t have one. If, for some reason, anyone is struggling to navigate life, which at any moment can be all of us, going back to the definition of google can be quite beneficial to get anyone back on track.
